What in the world

I love that the dev team actually did all these memes
Wait seriously the dev team made this?
This is amazing
Not the greatest quality, but here is the whole set.
A smiling Kratos makes me slightly uncomfortable
It means he's going to kill you brutally.
Kratos just living in the moment, stopping people from living the moment.
He does that without smiling.
I don't recognise the first dancing Kratos one.
Drunk Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec.
Google “Ron Swanson Drunk.”
My god I had never seen the shaq one, that’s awesome thank you
Aww the last one
Brent Rambo approves!
The one of them all jumping is my favorite for no reason.
That's the best reason
I love it because after they freeze, the clothing and background is still clearly moving
I got a free award today and you definitely get it. I’d only ever seen the “end this man’s career” one.
Omfg the first and last ones are absolute gold!
Magni and Modi in the back just havin a good ol time.
Yes, along with a bunch of other popular ones, all animated with the in game character models. There's an imgur album with them all out there somewhere
the Shaq and supa hot fire ones lmfao, that's too good.
Mimir is a nice touch.
Ive never seen that lmao, ive seen the others but never that one
saving this for later
some of those are legit flawless.
First time I’ve seen the Shaq shimmy one. Fuckin gold haha
I always did think that the animation was amazing its because actually devs did it
I believe so
Chris Cote, is that you?
But the idea that people, who grew up playing video games and went into making video games, could never make some stuff for a laugh, without a corporate whip with the back-up of demographic data, is just silly.
I worked in art and this is exactly the kind of shit I'd do for fun. And, when I sent it around the office, others would respond with their own, in the same way that you'd see happen online.
I fully accept that it might have been crafted specifically with marketing in mind.
I also accept that it may have started out as fun and corporate got wind of it and decided to use it for marketing, steering the team in that direction.
And it's also possible that they just did it for fun themselves and posted it online because they found it so funny.
I don't know.
But the idea that everything absolutely 100% has to be evil manufactured corporate genius all the time is giving those kinds of assholes too much credit, in my opinion.
It’s a beautiful recreation of Ron Swanson typing his address into google earth.
They actually put a perfect Ron expression on Kratos too lol
Don’t the devs have to give permission to epic to add it to Fortnite though or does epic already own it?
The Devs made the reaction gifs (as seen in other comments) they played no part in the adding of the caption or anything about this post in particular. So it’s not like the devs are against the adding of kratos into fortnight
Ok thanks for clearing everything up. :)
Do you mean they can just pay for any copyright claim?
I imagine the right to design and use images from other IPs is a familiar legal process for fortnite at this point.
Reach out to whoever owns the IP.
Cut a deal for skin sales and royalties.
Skins function as mobile advertising for Sony/Microsoft/banana sales?
Kratos should check his bank balance first
Kratos has no need for riches.
no, but Kratos's owners shareholders do
Some things aren't worth your dignity.
You ever work in the service industry?
Or just ‘The industry’.
I think fortnite royalties may be worth it. I wouldn't have to work again
Kratos after getting owned by a default skin.
Kratos after being owned by Rick Sanchez
Kratos after getting owned by an anime skin
Kratos after getting killed by a cuddly bear that kills people for some reason
That's what playing smash is like
As a Kirby main I don’t understand. I eat people then beat them to death with their own attacks. Freaking love it.
Rick motherfucking sanchez is going to default dance on you corpse after 90ing and 200 pumping your ass
Kratos after being knocked by Batman and then danced on by Rick Sanchez, Iron man, Daryl Dixon from walking dead, and Master Chief.
Ngl a well animated fight between Kratos and Rick is something I'd definitely watch
But Kratos would probably win since there's an episode of R&M where Rick loses to Zeus and we all know how Kratos beat the shit out of Zeus
Kratos after getting canonically owned by some blue guy with a shovel
Fornite bad amirite
mrw i see the 15th post criticising fortnite for no reason withing the afternoon: 😐
Mom says it’s my turn to post this gif
Oh no a popular game is popular! The humanity!
I don’t play fortnite but I fail to see how crossovers are a bad thing it brings more people to the franchise which means more and better games.
Fortnite is one of the world’s biggest things right now it’s nothing but a good thing
And then Rick Sánchez turned into a Fornite skin, funniest shit ever.
does reddit already know though? reddit hates rick and morty fans and fortnite, so it's like the ultimate combo
Rick and Morty in Fortnite? that shits gonna short-circuit an average redditor's brain
if they even had a brain in the first place...
Still can’t believe we’re doing fortnite bad but reddit is reddit
It's simple. Fortnite is a good game with a very young and very cringey fan base. As for the crossovers, it's made Fortnite feel like the Happy Meal of gaming. It's very commercial.
My son plays Fortnite and wants to show me his favourite dance moves all the time. I kinda want to film him just to show him at his 18th birthday party.
Pretty sure it's the law that you must.
You think he won't still be showing you his fortnite dance moves at 18?
Do it. I would have died inside if my parents recorded stuff i showed them when i was a kid.
Give him the ultimate cringe. Its your job as a parent!
And a big part of its commercialism is pushing microtransactions on those too young to know better. Not only has this resulted in some surprise bills for inattentive parents, it also normalizes them in the eyes of its playerbase. While other games are guilty of the same sins, Fortnite's popularity and audience make it a big, brightly colored target for criticism.
I'm a parent to a youngun that plays fortnite. I have to say, the microtransactions are pretty fair. There are no loot boxes, so the gambling element is not there, which is my biggest concern. The skins don't impact gameplay and there is no pay to win. I've also used v-bucks to teach him valuable lessons in saving and budgeting. I've also had some great fun playing a few duos with him as well. Fortnite ain't all that bad.
I've got a couple students I tutor who play fortnite and go on about it. I groan and make jokes about hating it. Earlier today I took a moment to clarify for them that I don't actually hate fortnite and that I'm just giving them a hard time because hating it has become a trope in itself. The game doesn't appeal to me and it can be annoying to hear kids go on about it, but that doesn't make it bad.
Hot take but I think parents who don’t pay attention to their kids deserve the bills, maybe worse. I don’t blame Fortnite for inattentive parents I blame parents for being inattentive.
Not hot at all. They give you all the tools in the world to make it impossible for your kid to buy something without you knowing and if you don't set it up that is on you especially if you put your card on there in the first place.
The kind of transaction fortnite does are the good ones. Free game where you can only buy cosmetics that do not alter the game. There is no mystery boxes or packs to buy and open without knowing what inside. It's just classic transactions that should not be hated on as much as the pay to win games should be.
Roblox should be a bigger target
So was Minecraft and kids got bullied for it
To be fair reddit is a cool website with a very cringey fan base.
Jeah exactly like Minecraft once was, it was cool, became cringey and now its popular again.
Everything enjoyed by people 9-12 will be looked down upon until the original group goes into their 20's. It was Pokémon, it was Minecraft, and now Fortnite.
The “cringey” fan base claims are all just stereotypes. Same as saying COD fans are all twelve year olds who yell racial slurs, it’s not necessarily true but also not necessarily wrong.
I’m 32. I play with my friend and her husband almost daily.
We always blame 12-year-old Tyler and his Fortnite coaching his mommy pays for when we lose. So like, every match.
"Lookit this Tfue wannabe. I'm playing pubs, they're playing FNCS!"
"That guy chased me all the way back into the storm just to kill me. Little Timmy couldn't go without a kill! Had to be sure he finished me so he could brag to his friends around the lunch table about his 10-bomb last night"
Fortnite is fun as hell, I’ve never before played a shooter that has the give and take of building defensive structures mid combat. It’s genuinely like no other game I’ve ever played.
Also, motion control ftw
Like the new Mistborn skin--like that's gonna bring tons of attention onto Brandon Sanderson. He's my favorite currently-publishing author, like it's a good thing for him and really solidifies him as a cultural icon.
I think it’s really cool how Fortnite has become this conglomeration of all things pop culture. It is accomplishing something that I think really can only happen in the video game space. A sort of centerpiece where anything from the broader cultural sphere can show up and be a part of it.
I think people predicted this would happen with an game that was more like World of Warcraft with a persistent narrative and world of its own. But Fortnites ability to completely shift itself into a new form turns out to be a greater strength.
Its what everyone wants from smash bros lol. Everyone is actually there even from different platforms. 12 year old me would explode
Wow, I had no idea about that. That seems completely out of left field but awesome at the same time. I really enjoyed the Mistborn books, it's cool to see it being picked up in other media.
It's a circlejerk at this point. I am a near 30, "triple-A only at this point" gamer, and I fucking loved Fortnite. So did all my 30 year old friends. It is approachable, not buggy, fairly balanced, with frequent updates, and a seasonal model that isn't a total rip off. So what if kids and tiktokers are the target audience? I don't engage with that shit, so why should I care? Life is shit, enjoy what you want to enjoy. Redditors have a very bloated sense of their own importance. Most are just mad that CS and League aren't the hypness anymore.
Reddit has a hate boner for fortnite and they won’t let go of it until the game is no longer a thing. Much to the annoyance of everyone else.
Yeah I don’t think this game is going anywhere anytime soon.
It's played by a bunch of immature 12 year olds - op who is 15
but Fortnite bad, true enlightened gentlesirs only play Dark Souls and El Witcherino 3
That hidden gem the bitcher 3 is based
did you guys ever hear about this indie game pretty cool red dead 2 it's not political at all and has hot boobs
Fortnite **BAD!!!**. Upvotes to the left
I havent touched the game since the second season, but I recently checked out some story update vids to find out what's been going on. The whole characters coming from other games thing is actually being woven into the plot as a sort of break down of the multiverse. I thought that was really cool and I'm actually pretty curious to see where this goes.
I never put any effort into fortnite because I don’t do a lot of online gaming anymore.
But I’ve followed along the story because of my kids and it’s pretty cool.
Fortnite really got my kids and their friends through Covid. It was the one thing that kept them all connected while we were all staying home.
Long time Fortnite player here. Same!
Epic doesn’t have to put this much effort into story (especially when it comes to making all of their crossovers canon), but they do anyways. And I love that.
Maybe one day we'll get the powers that the skins have.
You should’ve seen chapter 2 season 4! The whole season was marvel themed and there were abilities for iron man, she hulk, groot, Thor, and weapons themed around them too.
Oh man they should bring that back
They have had 2 marvel events so far I think so chances are they will do another one sometime
Imo the best part of the Star Wars Sequel trilogy was the lightsabers when they were added for a bit to Fortnite. It was also the last time I played the game.
I actually really hated fortnite during chapter 1, but my friends convinced me to play in chapter 2 season 2 and I've had a blast ever since. Except the marvel season, that was god awful and nearly made me quit playing all together.
Fortnite bad Minecraft good reddit whoelsome
FORTNITE BAD HAHAHAHA
Exactly, *GOLD AWARD WHERE?*
Why won’t women date me I have a picture of the funny number on my wall and a big Chungus body pillow, I’m a nice guy too
Maybe it's the "GAMER ZONE; NO GIRLS ALLOWED" sign. You should toss that, girls get very horny and too embarassed to go out with you.

As someone who loves GOW and Fortnite I loved this collab 🥳

Nah now it’s Rick and morty
Is no one else impressed that he can play Fortnite on a Commodore Pet? Or was he just browsing a gaming BBS?
I don't need to hate Fortnite to be a gamer. What sort of creature defines itself by hatred?
12 year olds
Fortnite bad! Upvote now!!!!!!!
Can you imagine hating a game because you can’t form your own thoughts for yourself? You can say “oh but fortnite fans are cringe!” Really, which fans aren’t cringe?
I think that's a stupid excuse anyway. 'I hate fortnite because of the community!' like, have you seen the people in the GENERAL gaming community? Such toxic gatekeeping children. Plus the Fortnite community really isn't that bad, I go to the subreddit a lot and it's literally fine. People are just so bored with their lives they need to find shit to hate on.
I see no problem here
guys, Fortnite bad. *Comedic laughter*
stop the fortnite hate lol
hehe forknaif bad
Are you really hating fortnite. I usually play with my 10 year old cousin when he calls and asks me to play with him. Its always fun.
I'm 41 years old and I fucking love Fortnight. My young son plays and it has forced me to get into it much deeper than I ever imagined. The skill curve on the combat/building is actually really crazy.
I really hope that eventually people just accept that Fortnite is a decent game. You don’t have to like it, but you also don’t have to hate it needlessly. You can just let it be.
I encourage people to give it a try (or try it again as new seasons always change things by a fairly noticeable degree), and from there you can make your own opinions.
I’m one of those people who just doesn’t like the game. Nothing against it, just not my style. Not a fan of battle royales. I tried it for a few months, but it just became boring and repetitive. I probably won’t ever go back to it, but nothing wrong with people enjoying it.
And that’s ok, my best friend is the same way, there’s no reason to get mad over it one way or the other.
I love Ron
Rick's all like "Who gives a shit, wubba lubba dub dub!!"
When 2B sees herself in Fall Guy
Reminds me of Ron Swanson.
It is, the dev team converted a bunch of popular memes into Gifs featuring Kratos and Son when the game came out
You can even play as Neymar.
Can I have the top spot with this meme tomorrow? Lol, I think I've seen this at the top every day this week
Lol at first glance looks like he is crying
Wait is he really? Thats hilarious
That is me when I haven't buy new laptop yet for gaming. LMAO
Any barb subs?
Lmao. My first thought when I heard about the Kratos skin was imagining Kratos reacting to it, especially with the emotes and dances.
I love that skin
Man I want the sequel so bad
Bold of you to assume he can use a computer.
Yeah you kind of got to feel bad he was out killing gods now he’s dying to a guy in a kitsune mask
I think the computer would be more destroyed than that
Oo ooo oo me hate fortnite ooO oOO oo muzt follow the hivemind
Shut the fuck up. Christ.
You guys are awesome you did a pretty cool meme!
Kratos is the only character I play with in Fortnite😂
I approve lol
We got a number one victory royale
Yeah, Fortnite, we 'bout to get down
