Mostly they be saying, “How the fuck do I pronounce her name?”
It’s pronounced Onishaoniel
Oni-sha -oh fuck it! I have no clue
O'nisha. O'Neil. Just gotta separate it in the right place
No, it's pronounced *Nikolaj*
no it's Nikolaj
I feel like I'm saying it right.
Now is that Nikolaj or Nikolai? Or Nikolah?
Holy shamoly! It’s Ricola.
They named me Nikolas
But i am supernik
Whoa whoa whoa. That opens a whole new can of worms!
It’s pronounced thermometer.
Nah. Ee. Nana. Jahd. Nainanajad.
The cool kidz just say ooortizzz.
This sounds like one of those things where the parents couldn't decide on a name so they agreed to take each of their mothers' names and smash them together to make a name for their kid
O! O, o.
I was pronouncing it Onish a Neil. Rhymes like a
peice a Neil
Nah. Pretty sure it's pronounced pendeja (Pen-the-ha)
Hispanic guy here. No se como cojones se pronuncia ese nombre " I don't even know how in the fuck you pronounce that name " and is my own language
O - nee - cha - O - neel
Or something like that
Wait that name its in Spanish? I thought that was fucking Korean or any other language
Ortiz is, the name is just a fucking madeup in my opinion
I thought it was actually some weird language or maybe made up as I'm also Hispanic yet my brain cannot fucking prosses how that is pronounced
Oni-shon-yell I think, it discuss me
It's not the strangest name i'd have seen in Latin America (Even though in Spain we have our list of pretty "uncommon" names, like "Austreberto" or "Teofrastiano") and going on lexic construction i'd bet my ass it's not a peninsular name. I'd guess you'd pronounce it like "O-nee-sha-o-nee-el", but i cannot guarantee it.
Damn. Lol that’s got to be bad if that’s the case.
It's pronounced "pendejo"
It’s the sound one makes while slipping on a banana
It's either O'Neesha O'Neill or On Is Ha On I Eel.
A lot of people be saying that.
How to pronounce it is the key
Can confirm. As a PRican I love to discuss.
Hello PRican. What would you like to discuss?
An interesting and politically rife topic.
What are your thoughts regarding Israeli apartheid?
It’s criminal and should be as condemned as the South African apartheid. Israel is a racist, western settler state that has no regard for human rights, continuously engages in war crimes (if you could call genocide a “war”), and the West, specially the US and Britain should also be held accountable for their continuous support of it.
Zionism is a cancer and should be denounced and challenged everywhere it shows its ugly face.
It is shocking and saddening to watch what Israel does with impunity.
I saw some headlines recently regarding Netanyahu’s party slipping in power with a different party ascending. I don’t know the potential implications of such a power change. Do you think that bodes well for peace and cooperation in the area?
Imo it is just an administration change, not a change of policy. If peace comes, i am convinced it will not come from the Israeli side. They do not want peace, they want supremacy at any cost. It will require international pressure and who knows... maybe even an intervention. But not many countries seem inclined to take up that fight, not even that talking point. So far, i have only heard of Ireland and China denouncing Israel and its allies for their crimes. Certainly, the general public opinion seems to stand more with Palestine than Israel. My hope is that this trend continues and eventually force the international community to do something. This will probably take way longer than it needs because of the existing conflicts of interests between the ruling class and their support for Israel. Specially in the US (the weapons deals, the money we send them, the Israeli contractors that come to the US to train police, and of course AIPAC).
Shes sounds Cuban lol.
Source: am Cuban
It’s sad, hypocritical, and shamefully racist that there’s a cultural bias among a lot of Cubans who believe they are somehow racially and culturally superior over others in Central America and the Caribbean islands. It’s sad 😞
I know man. My fathers one who never holds himself to shit on anyone, despite them literally being hispanic too. He is particularly racist towards African Americans and Mexicans.
Why is he racist against those two groups specifically?
My Cuban college roommate said it’s literally a race issue, with some Cubans thinking they are the “whites” of the Caribbean. It probably stems from colonial slavery days of the privileged white class and the enslaved Africans and Native Americans. My roommate specifically was racist against Dominicans and Haitians because they were seen as the least Caucasian and most black. It’s one of the sad cultural baggage of a racist past. And unfortunately it seems like it’s still very prevalent today.
Those people discuss me. But seriously fuck those people.
You're a lord, people always discussin' lords.
So meta lol. So discussing
Also a lot of those who fled Castro were the richer whiter landowning class
Also there are too many who fled after who are entitled bc of the power of the Cuban-American community in Miami. My grandma was a white lady like her Spanish mom but with a huge nose inherited from her black dad. Now my “white” cousins are always cursing any black people around. So fucking racist idiots who make fun also from people from the countryside and our great grandparents came from there too. Son una pila de comeping*s (they’re a bunch of c0cksuck3rs)…
So In a way it’s the negativity associated with a group that was once seen as inferior and undesirable.
Mainly cuz he's a dipshit. But his excuse that I'm quoting is that you can never trust African Americans (he doesn't hate black people, he actually really loves them and their culture, he just hates hood culture) and he thinks they just love causing havoc and stealing shit, and for Mexicans he just doesn't like the way they speak. Again, he doesn't hate them, he just doesn't like certain words they use, it's "soft" to a lot of Cubans (its not just him its a big Cuban mentality because we have a rough language, we call it chusmeria, and whoever doesn't talk like us in Spanish is soft according to them). In all honesty I don't think he's racist, he's just got a piece of shit mentality. He only talks about it in private too, so its not like he treats Mexicans and African Americans any different. In fact we have a friend who's Jamaican which Is why I say he only dislikes Americans.
I hope he one days sees that there is good and bad in all ethnic groups and it’s unfair to lump everyone together.
Thats what I saw early on. Unfortunately he is very hard headed and unchanging.
A lot of Cubans that escaped to America after the Cuban revolution were slave owning plantation owners that would have had to answer for their crimes if they stayed in Cubs.
You misspelled "what do he be sayin?"
My friend's ex was Cuban and he would constantly trash talk me because I'm Puerto Rican, I was confused and ignored it 🤷♀️
There are some Mexican-Americans that hate Mexican immigrants because they bought into Trump's bs about how they're all freeloading criminals. They are so tone deaf though that they don't understand that Trump hates all Mexicans it's just easier to be racist to immigrants in public.
I'm the only white person at my job. I'm in a town that's mostly Dominican, Puerto Rican or Mexican. Before working there I didn't know how hated some people are within those groups. Like my coworkers are fine with each other but I've seen it first hand and heard awful stories.
Being the only white dude I just stay back since I'm totally clueless. But the bigoted comments that get thrown around is insane. I had no clue.
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t white Cubans a minority ? Aren’t they mostly black or mixed ?
When it comes to latinos and race, it depends on what the argument is and whose trying to make a point. But many cubans are *white*. Just like many mexicans, puerto ricans, argentinians, etc...
If they're mixed with native ancestry they're mestizo. On a US form they would check white *and* latino/hispanic. But also, many latinos are black with predominantly african ancestry. Like in america, latin america has racial tensions between light and darker skinned people. I'm not african american, but I've heard this tension exists between light and dark skinned black people. Seems like people like to bitch about skin colors.
PR here but most Mexican guys come off as so....idk over the top sleazy Macho?
I'm Puerto Rican and the few Cubans I have met a couple Cubans we have gotten great along. Love that Arroz Congri.
Plus I always been ask if I'm all types of ethnicity. Black, Samoan, Hawaiian, Mexican or latin american, etc. I always feel when they say Cuban or Dominican, at least this person knows Caribbean Latinos from South America Latinos.
“You disgust me!”
“Ah, so you discuss me! I’m a trust fund, baby, you can trust me!”
I was wondering where this was
Aaron Burr, sir.
Now I been readin Common Sense by Thomas Paine
So men say that I'm intense or I'm insane
You want a revolution? I want a revelation!
So listen to my declaration!
We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal!
And so when I meet Thomas Jefferson
Imma compel him to include WOMEN in the sequel!
I've been reading *Common Sense* by Thomas Paine, some men say that I'm intense or I'm insane
You want a revolution? I want a revelation! So listen to my declaration:
No, it was pretty expected LOL
Nothing good I imagine.
Didn't Eminem say something similar in one of his songs
"But sometimes this shit just seems
everybody only wants to discuss me.
So this must mean I'm disgusting,
but it's just me, I'm just obscene..."
Without Me is a gem.
It really is
They be sayin, “¿Quien putas es esta puta puta de puta mierda?”
For the gringa, could you please elaborate on the whores and shit?
Están diciendo, “Who the fuck is this fucking piece of fucking shit bitch?” It doesn’t bounce around so well in English, but there ya go
White American here. I lived in S. Florida for a while and could not believe the relative racial perspectives of the different ethnicities throughout with roots in S.A., C.A., and the Caribbean.
Never mind the sports competition not only within baseball and soccer but between.
It's the same everywhere. Watch the shit east asians say about each other
Nah they're just jealous that they're not Puertorriqueños
Boricua (PRican) here. Perceived differences between folks from Latin American countries in the US are (IMO) overblown. Here’s the truth. You get any of us in a room & we’re gonna party like we family.
Dudes name sounds like an indie horror game name and hes tryna be racist
“Ah, so you’ve discussed me. I’m a trust fund baby you can trust me”
Remember kids, any form of bigotry has been scientifically proven to be a behavioral trait of people with lower intelligence.
I worked with a number of Puerto Ricans during my military career and I loved them. Outstanding, warm, kind & loving people.
Puerto Ricans are the most discussing
They do indeed discuss a lot of people. That side of the family has always been discussing.
I love Puerto Ricans, those mofos know how to cook. I'd love to get back to the island just for the fresh ceviche
Don’t you hate it when you someone discusses you?
Absolutely, people discuss me all the time.
Her last name Ortiz, is very Puerto Rican. Some people from the island love to do this: Create or mix names from the parents like Yahaira and Daniel’s daughter would be “Yahaniel”.
Puerto Ricans like you tho.
Jk no one likes racist people like you
Ah, so you’ve discussed me? I’m a trust fund, baby, you can trust me ;)
Okay, Ocean Daniel
"But this-must-mean I'm dis-gust-ting, but it's-just-me I'm just-ob-scene!"
Why am I never surprised when xenophobic people suck at spelling? My guess is because both the personality trait and the low literacy level come from a lack of interest in education.
They really attacking me like that ;(
Well, I said “¡Mira este puta cabron aqui!” when I saw this
Bone apple tea?
Damn puerto ricans and their social policies, stances on abortion and opinions about general topics.
Everybody only wants to discuss her,
That must mean she’s disgusting
Bitch your last name is Ortiz why the fuck are you hating on other hispanics?
Dude a part of me died reading this
Tis more like r/boneappletea
They discuss what a skank she be...
Somebody posted this racist, prejudiced, ignorant remark?? I want to slap the bitch right up the side of the head.
this shit didn't make you laugh? because it's pretty funny
it is but its still racist especially to me cuz im also a PRican
Puerto Rican’s are sooooooooo sexyyyy
Why is that true? I have a theory that it has to do with our African heritage
Nope. Nothing to do with African heritage. Some fad; don’t know where it comes from, but some names are ridiculous: Yadiel, Abdiel, Yeriel, Yahir, Yandiel, Dariel, Keniel, Jeriel, Yandel, Joniel, Yadriel, Yamil. These are all masculine names.
I guess that makes more sense. The older folks always have more traditional names. My generation was cursed with these ridiculous names
Yes. The girl names are as weird. I had a female student whole name is Orendailis.
Some of those names have Arabic/Semitic roots, for exmaple:
- Yamil = Beautiful
- Abdiel = servant of God
Not sure about the rest.
Well fuck you too 🇵🇷🇺🇲
Wait what's the facepalm here? I don't get it...
My Puerto Rican cousin used to get stopped every time he drove past the border checkpoint near Camp Pendleton, CA. The border patrol guy would exchange 2 sentences and they could clearly tell he wasn’t Mexican.
But it annoyed my cousin like crazy that he’d get stopped. Me, OTOH, always got waved right through without stopping. There are plenty of white mexican citizens, but apparently those aren’t the ones the border patrol is looking for.
In high school I used to get so many fucking comments about the way I talk from other latinos. I hate that they think our accent and slang means were less educated than them.
I kinda like Jennifer Lopez, maybe that’s the only Puerto Rican I know
The be discussing how they be giving her compliments and she thinks that iys insults
Ok, that…was funny
I was reading it as the last part saying Chanel ? Idk man
Does being born from another culture is an insult for you little girl
That's funny! Still laughing!
Just like the grape one.
They be saying: Fuck that guy who hates Puerto Ricans
His stupidity checkmates is lousy English.
What type of food it that?
I really wonder what they be saying
Do they discuss me to my face or do they disgust me behind my back?
What do they be saying indeed….
She calls her self big brother Oniel Ortiz... Also I am Boricua, and I still don't understand the joke.
