WCGW stealing from someone in a narrow alley?
By - dhruv_boss
There’s something enjoyable about watching these groups of people collectively decide to beat that ass.
They broke a very basic social contract. Most societies hang by a thread, and moments like this are great because regular people get to remind assholes that we all have to play by the rules ... or get stomped.
Yeah you usually see these in countries where the cops are unwilling to follow through because their system rewards “low” crime numbers.
Welcome to India.
P.S. - This video is from India.
The same police that won't investigate/intervene for burglary in these 3rd world countries will also not bother messing with all the vigilantes. Whether it's laziness or corruption, they know their government above them is equally as corrupt/inept and would sacrifice them to an angry mob in a heartbeat.
In the US and many western countries, the police will not do anything about the burglary out of laziness, but then turn around and arrest anyone for vigilantism. Because they are much more invested in maintaining the power structure and control, and have many higher ups willing to back them up the entire way and then some. Which we're seeing the effects of now.
Yes because robberies only threaten working people but a culture of vigilantism is a threat to the parasitic class as well.
Functional societies have cops with a non violent culture and alot of training in de escalation
TIL that every major US city is a looney fringe of society.
Exactly. Trayvon Martin tries to act all tough-guy ("You got a problem homie? ... No? Well ya got one now!") and smashes Zimmerman's head on pavement, concussion and all. Martin then has to prove he's a real street gangsta, so he reaches for Zimmerman's gun and threatens the man. ("You gonna die now!")
...And putting on this macho tough-guy wannabe-gangsta bullshit, ironically, got him killed. Lesson to all the other hoodrats out there.
You are ignorant, racist and hopefully some day recognize this, before you are your stupidity do more harm like this comment
Tell me more about how George Floyd Square is doing without law enforcement. Tell me how it's blossomed into this beautiful community where the streets are safe and commerce is booming. Tell me how great society becomes when we Defund The Police and let the people take matters into their own hands.
We need to be pushing that class more. Really get them uncomfortable. French style.
Ever heard of lynching?
I wouldnt even call this vigilantism, I'm sure the actual definition fits, but I look at it more like someone who is investigating or constantly fighting crime. These guys are just good samaritans.
Lol 1st world police don't do shit about robberies either
That's what I said?
Better than in America where cops don’t do shit to protect you but go after you when you are stuck protecting yourself.
Did you read what I wrote at all?
Play by the rules or else we'll stop playing by the rules too.
The social contract that you need to at least pretend not to be stealing from people. Y'know, like rich people do.
Petty theft is seen and easy to deal with. If only white collar crimes could be as visible
So the thread is more of a fabric of a lot do threads where we all support each other by instinctively beating that ass when our tribe is violated.
I like how the strangers around instantly jump into help. Not like the videos of a group of people filming and no one helping
They did it without hesitation too. Whatever country that is one thing is for sure, those people had his back.
In many countries when you ask for help you get help. Don't use the U.S. as a baseline.
Free scooter. Only dropped once.
One thing I’ve learned on Reddit is two people on a motorcycle/scooter usually ends with an attempted robbery.
That's your daily basis in Venezuela lol, good thing you know now if you ever go there or latin america for visiting
True (lived in brazil) but im sure this is india.
The gas cans are from a company called bharat petrol, same red
Left hand side driving
The word Ghantaa means bell in hindi. It just seems very indian. Source: am Indian
The place seems to be of somewhere in Gujarat or Rajasthan, guessing by the design on banners and its India for sure. (Am Indian and have travelled a lot)
Also there's a banner with ANSH written on it, which is an Indian name, literally meaning a quantum.
Ghantaa is a copy-pasting Instagram meme page which popularised this video. (Ghanta means a bell but it is also a funny expression of denying sarcastically, that being the origin of username!)
For the person I replied to: Bhai Indane lag rahe mujhe toh cylinder. XD
Bhai tum log toh sahi jaasoos ho!
Yaha hum log Reddit pe Hindi bolne ke mauke ka maza lete hue
You mess with one bean, you get the whole burrito!
Lo siento, tres. Usted es venezolana/o?
Si, aunque vivo en México, así que no hay problema :^)
Same here in Brazil.
just South America things
No creo que sea muy seguro visitar Venezuela
Igual aplica para algunos lados en Latinoamérica de todas formas.
Until you go to Vietnam
İ lived in neighboring Cambodia for 2 years and also frequented Vietnam a lot. İts definitely not the majority of the time, but it happens a lot!
That’s just life in Vietnam. And Gainesville, Florida too
Saigon Man, distant cousin of Florida Man
They are sister cities I think
And also cousin cities. They're sister-cousin cities.
Saigon? You must be old.
Maybe they are from that area, I read many people there still call it that.
oh could be. ive never been, i just typically only hear it called Saigon in the US by people who are... let's say *less than updated* on international events.
Hahah nice. Nah I just call it that. Ho chi minh city is a mouthful :P
While two of my childhood best friends were Vietnamese, I still think the reason I call it Saigon has more to do with my knowledge of Vietnam largely coming from my erstwhile interest in war history/the Vietnam war.
yeah thats fair, when I hear Saigon i just think of the line in Die Hard with the two insane FBI agents (Johnson and Johnson, no relation) in the helicopter.
"Just like Saigon, eh slick?"
"I was in Junior High, dickhead!"
Lmfao that's a great line.
But there was also a story of a British lady who died when robbed. The crooks on a moped grabbed her handbag causing her to lose her balance and she hit her head on the ground.
A sub was birthed a few days ago based on that exact concept r/twodudesonabike
And I just now joined it. Thanks for that!
And a Brazilian off duty cop shooting one of the robbers
It likely wasn't their scooter to begin with, and they would've just dumped it somewhere or even burned it after they'd got the use they wanted out of it.
Why are they running? 2 on 2 seems like a fair fight! Pussies!!!
But if they loose the fight, punishment is death or severe disfigurement.
Few things in life are as satisfying as instant karma
A stranger coming to the aid of another stranger seems like it should come close.
And this video has both lol
Fuck to the yes. Hope they got wrecked
I think you're wish granted. Successfully!
Oh for sure. They beat them for like 3 mins straight until the police arrive in these countries
My husband got mugged, guy pulled a knife on him in broad daylight on a not so busy sidewalk. Before my husband could even realize what was happening a passerby on a bike leaped off and went after the guy with a knife. No hesitation. Some strangers are truly incredible.
That biker was actually a black belt just itching for an excuse to use his karate in a street fight situation
Fortunate that that's the form the karma took, then!
Good chance they know each other.
Instant noodles are pretty good too
They're not instant enough.
Sure they are, instantly shove them in your mouth, crunch away!
I don’t even open the wrapper first
Can't beat the fuckin crönch of plastic and styrofoam
You just made me remember that I have some fancy ramen I bought from the Asian market. Fuck yes.
And few things scarier then mob justice when they believe they are delivering instant karma but don't know the whole story.
Vigilantism and lynching go hand in hand after all
You know as well as i do that the US is overflowing with uninformed mob justice. Folks get their "news" from social media, fail to do research into it, and go the offensive. Heartbreaking. So much hatred
I'll take internet mobs over physical ones any day
I love watching these
I find myself cheering on the random heroes :D
Random herpes is a great name for a band
Edit: heroes, the O is next to the P
Both are great names for bands.
Random Heroes, kinda epic.
Random Herpes, kinda punk.
Username…. Checks out?
I'm with you. I appreciate the camaraderie. Here in the U.S., I would expect the majority of reaction from by-standers would be to stand around looking bewildered and simply continuing on about their day/night. And that goes for pretty much any type of incident. Unless, of course, said incident could score them internet points, then the majority reaction would be to whip out the phone and record.
Pull out phones to start filming.
America has turned in to a country of passive people (I was going to say pussies but I refrained).
Also if one were to whump a criminal, they'd in up getting arrested and the criminal would be let off.
Both of your statements are accurate, including the pussification.
And from personal experience, police are absolutely useless, and will most likely turn on you, the individual who called them for assistance. Again, personal experience. That is why I will never 'cop' in any situation.
Law of the jungle, baby. Me too.
Lol, I love that guy who looks like he's just gonna watch everything happen without doing anything, then suddenly goes" Surprise motherf**cker!" and pushes the scooter xD
He needed a few sec to process what just happened. Not many people can take action that quickly
Or maybe it was intentional. Caught them by surprise.
gotta play it cool or they’ll know you’re up to something and avoid you
How could they have avoided the guy?
Its actually pretty quick. The second video starts slightly before the first one ends
Plot Twist: He and the old man whose phone was stolen work together to clean the streets of robbing dirtbags. They do this routine all over town, 7 days a week.
when bad intentions have a happy ending.
And the ass whuppin shall commence.
Some say the slaps could be heard from miles around
[Drum roll, please.](https://youtu.be/3TT3vLO0an4)
Risky click of the day
These snatchers were not very bright. Snatching a mobile from LPG cylinder delivery person. Oops
It always seems like people in India are always prepared to beat up some criminals
Yep, People are frustated with the slow justice system so they go full Dalshim on streets
Say what you will about the crime and thievery in India, but man I am always amazed at how readily bystanders will jump in to just fuck a thief's shit up out of nowhere.
Often this is the only form of justice available.
I feel sad to admit that you are infact right
Hell even in America that can be the case considering how shit the cops tend to be at anything but shooting minorities
As an American I love it. Sometimes takes months/years for justice here.
Free stress reliefs, feel like a hero afterward, have story to tell kids and your drunk friends, might even get laid. Nothing but win...as long as the criminals don't have any weapons on them...
This happens in very small no of cases. Usually thieves are not that stupid and do this on a road where they can easily run away and bystanders won't do much.
Is this India or China
See how the guy who pushed went after the first guy knowing in full well the second guy is easy.
THAT is community right there ... don’t EVER come back to this part of town because we are ALL looking to kick your ass!!
It is oddly satisfying at the same time. I have watched like 5 times already :)
Bhen ka lauda
Maar madar chut ko
bumm lga are bumb maar!!
haa got eeemm
Seen a few thieves get beat up. Even caught one myself while he was trying a break a side mirror to make quick bucks. A crowd gathered and they all had a go at beating him.
In America, they just watch you get robbed and start taking pictures for Instagram instead of helping. Who will be the first person to die on Mars?
Depends on where it is. In a tight knit community you'll get help, in a large town/city no one trusts anyone.
Team Blue : All three strangers wore blue. What a coincidence!
You never see this videos in the US. Always Asia. If the people here (and other western countries) cared about the society like we see here, we'd have a better place to live. Too many times do we just witness crime and do nothing to help.
I need a sub for robbers and thieves being caught
There's other stuff on there as well, but /r/JusticeServed is what you're looking for.
What would be funnier would be if someone stole the thief's bike and just rode away into the sunset.
The man who push the thief was waiting for that moment to happen
Love seeing people gather to beat down on someone who has done something wrong.
Stealing... makes the people...come together... yeah!
Gang Gang Gangnam Style
r/uselessredcircle as well
lol. When you steal from other poor people, you fucking run!
I think I’m stuck in the straw!
In America they would just start filming with their phones.
We should do this the next time an elected official starts acting all pedo rapey.
Just the local crips taking care of each other
NGL I was waiting for someone else to pop out and steal a can while the first robbers were getting pummeled
The scene s from delhi
Ah yes, the community beat down. Yaassss
i just love instant justice when it happens
Fuck you, bloody!
Damn, the satisfaction of pushing someone from a bike. Literal chills
imo its not about the narrow alley but the people living in it.
Notice how they aren’t all just holding a cellphone recording the crime! What kind of humans are these? Helping one another? Now that is strange.
Oohhhh!! Get absolutely FUCKED XD!!
Videos like this make me so moist!
I kinda wish the camera kept rolling.
Damn! Now that’s what a call a community! I want a people to have my back like that
Can any one explain who stole? I'm confused
The two guys on the motorcycle stole a mobile from the guy carrying the LPG cylinders.
The real catch would've been a second scooter behind that takes the bicycle and goes the other way.
That was awesome
Alleyway Just Ass...
These videos are awesome
One of the few things I really appreciate about the third world: people in the community beat the FUCK out of public thieves and criminals.
So i have seen this video in two different contexts now. It's amazing how pictures and videos can be misrepresented to such extent . Makes me think about all the news, political agendas, to what extent do they get misrepresented, sensationalized for the interest of selfish people in power. In this video in one context, these two men are trying to beat the hard working poor man for using up all the space so they got beat up and in another context as per what op said in captions they are trying to snatch away the wallet. Though I'm not sure what's correct.
Welcome to India
Ah yeah thank God for that red circle, I clearly wouldn't have seen this otherwise.
I know all theft is wrong, however, it’s especially satisfying to see these assholes get fucked up. This guy with the bike is a hard working man who can’t afford to lose anything.
Citizen justice, no police needed.
Muster the Rohirrim!
Thieves: I’ll take that off you mate, thanks.
Random guy in blue shirt: The fuck you will steal that
Mera bharat mahan
Life in a world where you can be pretty sure the guy doesn't have a gun.
I love seeing humans looking out for humans against shitty humans.
That felt soooooo good to watch holy moly
They knew it was ass whooping time
This also shows how desperate these thieves were. Their odds weren't very good going into that one.
Wooooo they both get stopped
Everyone's wearing similar looking clothes
Does it make me a bad person if this makes me happy? Like I know now a days calmly addressing a situation is usually the best course of action but why can’t we address the problem after a swift and justified kick in the face?
